El control se realiza mediante el intuitivo software Polyscope 5 en una pantalla táctil de 12". El UR12e admite interfaces como Modbus TCP, PROFINET, Ethernet/IP y ROS, lo que permite una integración fluida en sistemas de automatización existentes. Las E/S digitales y analógicas, así como los URCaps, permiten ampliarlo fácilmente con componentes de terceros.
