Automating Aetrium Semi-Automatic Machines: Precision and Integration
Designed for automating the WEBtechnology Aetrium semi-automatic machine, this project enables efficient loading, unloading, and processing of QFN tubes across various Aetrium systems and QFN sizes. Collaboratively developed by the Lycée de Vilgenis de Massy and BTS CRSA students, the system aims for seamless "plug-and-play" functionality while ensuring adaptability, reliability, and minimal manual intervention.
What is the Application?
The automated system handles QFN tube management, including loading untested tubes, unloading tested QFN (OK), and removing defective QFN (NG) tubes. Mounted on a mobile forklift truck, it accommodates workstation height disparities and integrates pneumatic, electrical, and IT components for streamlined operations.
What are the Advantages of the Solution?
Efficient Workflow: Automates repetitive tasks, reducing manual errors.
Adaptable Design: Accommodates varying tube sizes without mechanical changes.
Enhanced Safety: Integrated exclusion zones prevent collisions with the Aetrium head.
What are the Advantages of the Robotic System?
The robotic gripper and control unit offer key benefits:
Precision Handling: Protects QFNs while managing tubes accurately.
Versatility: Parallel jaws with blow-off functionality handle multiple tube sizes.
Robust Communication: Real-time integration with production PCs for seamless interaction.
Optimizing QFN Production Through Automation
This advanced robotic assembly simplifies QFN tube management with flexibility and precision, adapting to diverse production environments. By automating time-sensitive processes, reducing physical tasks, and ensuring reliability, manufacturers can achieve higher productivity, improved safety, and reduced operational costs in modern production workflows.
